This is a great gumbo recipe that is so easy when you use the Creole Sauce as a base. All of the gumbo vegetables are already in the creole sauce! How easy is that? Bring 2 jars of Gourmet Mom’s Bayou Creole Sauce to medium heat.
Add 1 can whole kernel corn
Add 1 lb. fresh okra or 1 lb. bag frozen okra
Add 3 TBS File’ Gumbo Seasoning
Add 2 lbs. shrimp, peeled.
Allow shrimp to simmer in sauce for 2 minutes
Voila! You have a healthy, delicious seafood gumbo that is quick and easy.
NOTE: You may also add Andouille sausage, smoked sausage, scallops, oysters or chicken or do a combo of shrimp, chicken and sausage! Absolutely delicious!
